Stage 5 brings 138 km from Longarone to Santo Stefano di Cadore through the Dolomites and over four categorized climbs.
Route and profile
The route offers very little real recovery and keeps loading the legs before the finishing circuit. The repeated climbing matters almost as much as the final kilometres themselves.
How the stage could race
The GC teams do not have to attack from the start, but the terrain should naturally reduce the field before the finale. A strong break can still dream if the favorites are saving their main moves for later.
Who it suits
A climber with the depth to handle repeated ascents is best suited.
Prospective winners
The current preliminary startlist is still incomplete, but the riders already listed who best fit this stage are Demi Vollering, Sarah Gigante, Elisa Longo Borghini.
This Local startlist is an initial partial import from the current ProCyclingStats startlist page on March 10, 2026, not a complete official roster.
