Tour de France 2027 stage 19: Hasparren to Laruns

Stage 19 has no summit finish and 4,300 meters of climbing: the Basque passes, the Soudet and the Marie Blanque, then a descent to Laruns.

Stage 19 of the 2027 Tour de France runs 160 km from Hasparren to Laruns on Friday, July 23, over about 4,300 meters of climbing, and finishes in the valley after the Col de Marie Blanque. Stages 18 and 19 together climb about 9,700 meters.

The Basque and Béarn climbs come one after another: the Col de Burdincurutcheta (8.7 km at 9.3 percent), the Col de Bagargui, the Col de Soudet (15.1 km at 7.2 percent) and then the Col de Marie Blanque (7.7 km at 8.6 percent). Cyclingnews puts the summit of the Marie Blanque 19 km from the finish.

Hasparren is a first-time stage town, according to ASO. Laruns has hosted three recent finishes: Primož Roglič won in 2018, Tadej Pogačar in 2020 and Jai Hindley in 2023, and in 2020 and 2023 the Marie Blanque was the last climb before the descent into town.

The Tour last crossed the Marie Blanque in 2023. If the yellow jersey is not settled on the Portet, this is where the race will be decided: there is no summit finish to hide behind, only a descent.
