Tour de France 2027 stage 20: Maubourguet to Libourne

A flat 198 km from the Pyrenean foothills to Libourne, in the Bordeaux vineyards, with sprinters and breakaway riders both after the win.

Stage 20 of the 2027 Tour de France runs 198 km from Maubourguet to Libourne on Saturday, July 24, a flat day with about 1,700 meters of climbing between the Pyrenees and Paris.

Domestique Cycling calls it a transitional stage, with the sprinters and the breakaway riders fighting for the win. For the overall contenders the job is to stay out of trouble on rolling, twisting roads; for the sprinters it is one of the last chances of the Tour.

Libourne has hosted a stage finish before: Matej Mohorič won there in 2021, on stage 19 from Mourenx. In 2023 stage 8 started in the town and Mads Pedersen won in Limoges. Libourne also hosted time trial finishes in 1957 and 1992.

Paris is the next day.
