The junior women race only 10.7km, but the 91 meters of climbing and Montréal’s changes of direction leave no room to settle in. This is a short, exacting effort: riders need to accelerate hard out of corners, keep the bike moving on the rises and avoid giving away free seconds through the technical sections.

Riders to watch: Canada’s selected junior women include Molly Flynn, Élodie Malois, Elly Moore, Sandrine Veilleux and Julia Lehmann. Malois and Moore arrive with the clearest recent European results in the Canadian group. The UCI has published official entries for this event.
