Classic Lorient 2026 Preview: Bredewold Chases a Fourth Straight Win
Classic Lorient 2026 brings WorldTour women's racing back to Brittany with Mischa Bredewold defending her three-year winning streak on the rolling roads around Lorient.
The 25th edition of Classic Lorient Agglomeration brings the women's WorldTour peloton to Brittany's southern coast in late August. Mischa Bredewold has won the last three editions and arrives as the clear favorite for a fourth consecutive victory, a streak that now defines the race's recent identity.
The course loops through rolling countryside south of Lorient, with short climbs, narrow roads, and enough corners to reward positioning. Wind off the Atlantic can split the field early, but the race often comes down to a reduced sprint or a late attack. Marianne Vos finished second in 2025 and will lead the challenge alongside puncheurs and late-season specialists from the WorldTour teams.
