Dwars door Vlaanderen Women 2027 preview
Dwars door Vlaanderen Women 2027 is on Wednesday, March 31. The organizer has published the date, and not the route or the start time.
The 2026 race started in Waregem on April 1 and was the first edition in the Women's WorldTour. A breakaway of five took up to four minutes, grew to seven riders after 42 kilometers and was caught on the cobbles of the Mariaborrestraat.
On the Eikenberg Demi Vollering attacked with Puck Pieterse and two others. UAE Team ADQ, riding for Elisa Longo Borghini, brought the four back, and about 30 riders were left for the final.
Marlen Reusser attacked 24 kilometers from the finish, just past the Huisepontweg cobbles, and Vollering reached her at the foot of the Nokereberg, 22 kilometers out. The two, former teammates, built a lead of 15 seconds that grew to 25. They looked sure to settle it in a two-up sprint until Lieke Nooijen of Visma-Lease a Bike jumped from the peloton in the last kilometer and went past them into the lead. Vollering had to close that gap herself, and Reusser used the effort to beat her in the sprint. Nooijen finished third, and it was Reusser's first win of 2026.
