Drôme Classic 2027

The 2026 race started and finished at Étoile-sur-Rhône on Sunday, March 1. At the line two seconds separated the two leaders, Romain Grégoire and Matteo Jorgenson, from a group of seven that Lenny Martinez led in for third place. Grégoire won the two-man sprint.

The pair had gone clear 17 kilometers from the finish, out of a finale that had become a series of attacks once the Côte des Roberts had split the peloton for good. Martinez had tried earlier, with Mattias Skjelmose and Ben Tulett, and that move ended on the same climb. Behind the two leaders, Benoît Cosnefroy counterattacked on the last passage of the Mur d'Allex without success. On the Côte Chaude at Étoile-sur-Rhône the peloton came back to within a few meters of them, and they were not caught.

Martinez's third place was his second in two days, after the Ardèche Classic. Grégoire had won the Ardèche Classic in 2025 and now has both races to his name. Juan Ayuso did the same one year before him, with the Ardèche Classic in 2024 and the Drôme Classic in 2025.
