Paris-Nice 2027 preview

Paris-Nice 2027 runs from March 7 to 14. The organizer has published the dates and not the stages.

The 2026 race, the 84th, had eight stages from Achères to Nice, from March 8 to 15. Luke Lamperti won the opening sprint and the first yellow jersey. Juan Ayuso took the lead on stage 3, when Ineos Grenadiers won the team time trial and his Lidl-Trek team was second.

Jonas Vingegaard then won two days running. He won stage 4 at Uchon in grueling weather and took the lead, then won stage 5 to Colombier-le-Vieux after a solo of 20 kilometers. A year earlier he had crashed out of Paris-Nice.

Stage 7, planned from Nice to Auron, was cut to 47 kilometers ending at Isola because of the weather, and Dorian Godon won it. On the last day, around Nice, Vingegaard attacked about 21 kilometers from the finish. Lenny Martinez followed him to the summit and beat him in the last kilometer, the first Frenchman to win the closing stage of Paris-Nice since Arthur Vichot in 2014.

Vingegaard won overall by 4 minutes 23 seconds from Dani Martínez, with Georg Steinhauser third. No winner of Paris-Nice had been that far ahead of the runner-up since 1939, and he took the points and the mountains classifications as well.
