Ronde van Vlaanderen Women 2027 preview
The Ronde van Vlaanderen Women 2027 is on Sunday, April 4. The organizer has published the date, and not the route or the start time.
The 2026 race, on April 5, was the 23rd edition: 164.1 kilometers that started on the Market Square in Oudenaarde and finished in the same town. It lost Marlen Reusser and Kim Le Court-Pienaar before the Koppenberg: both crashed on the approach to the climb, abandoned, and had fractures.
After the Koppenberg about 20 riders were left in front. On the Oude Kruisberg the FDJ United-SUEZ teammates of Demi Vollering raised the pace and she made her first acceleration, which thinned the group again. On the Oude Kwaremont she attacked a second time and dropped Lotte Kopecky and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. She rode the last 18 kilometers alone and won the Ronde for the first time.
Behind her Puck Pieterse passed Kopecky and chased with Ferrand-Prévot. Pieterse dropped Ferrand-Prévot on the Paterberg, but Ferrand-Prévot came back and won the sprint for second place in Oudenaarde. Kopecky, the winner in 2022, 2023 and 2025, finished fourth, ahead of Zoe Bäckstedt.
