A mountain stage without a summit finish: 151 km from La Bourboule over the Croix Saint-Robert, the race's highest point, to Clermont-Ferrand.
Stage 8 of the 2027 Tour de France Femmes runs 151 km from La Bourboule to Clermont-Ferrand on Friday, August 6, over six categorized climbs and about 3,000 meters of climbing. ASO lists it as a mountain stage, with no summit finish.
The Col de la Croix Saint-Robert, at 1,451 meters, is the highest point of the 2027 race. The finale has the Côte de la Stèle (5.4 km at 5 percent) and the Côte de Charade (6 km at 5.9 percent) before the descent into Clermont-Ferrand.
Clermont-Ferrand has welcomed the women’s race twice before: Lotte Kopecky won stage 1 there alone in 2023, and the 2025 race started a stage there, which Maeva Squiban won in Ambert. The finish is not on a climb, so the day can go to a breakaway or to a favorite who attacks on the last hill.
ASO has not published a kilometer-by-kilometer profile for the women's race yet, so this stage shows the climbs reported so far. The stage has six categorized climbs; three have been reported.
