Tour de Romandie 2027 route overview

The race is usually decided across three pressure points: the prologue, which sets the first small gaps; the queen stage in the Alps, often with a summit finish such as Thyon 2000 or Leysin; and an individual time trial, which in 2021, 2022 and 2025 came on the last day and changed the leader each time. The short overall length means that every minute lost is difficult to recover. Climbers who can time trial hold the advantage, but pure climbers can survive if they gain enough in the mountains.
