Trofeo Alfredo Binda 2027

The 2026 race, the 27th, was planned over 152.7 kilometers from Luino to Cittiglio. Snow fell overnight on the first classified climb, the organizer changed the route between kilometer 25 and kilometer 40, and the riders covered 146.1 kilometers, the first part of them in rain. Hannah Ludwig rode in front alone with a lead of about a minute and a half until the finishing circuit at Cittiglio.

The race was decided on that circuit, on the climbs of Casale and Orino, where the group split about 40 kilometers from the finish. Between two climbs Elisa Longo Borghini sent three UAE Team ADQ teammates up the road: Silvia Persico, Eleonora Gasparrini and Karlijn Swinkels. Anna van der Breggen went with them, and so did Pfeiffer Georgi and Mie Bjørndal Ottestad. On the last climb of the Orino Van der Breggen set a pace that only Swinkels could follow. Ottestad came back on the descent while the two Dutch riders watched each other.

Swinkels won the sprint of three ahead of Van der Breggen, her first victory in the WorldTour. Blanka Vas led in the chasing group 47 seconds later, ahead of Letizia Borghesi, Marianne Vos and Lotte Kopecky. Vos has won the race four times, in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2019, more than anyone.
