Tour of Britain Women

The Tour of Britain Women is a Women's WorldTour cycling stage race held across England, Scotland, or Wales, run over five days in August since 2026 after years as a June race. First run in 2014 as the Women's Tour and now run as the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women after its title partner, it suits riders who can handle changeable weather, technical descents, and the tactical compression of a short stage race.

Tour of Britain Women 2027 route overview

The route changes each year but tends to favor riders who can climb short, steep gradients and descend with confidence on narrow, technical roads. Stages usually run between about 85 and 160 kilometers, which keeps the racing compressed. Time bonuses at stage finishes and intermediate sprints often matter as much as the climbs themselves. The race has been decided in different ways: by bonus seconds in the final sprint in 2022 and 2025, by a two-rider attack on the Horseshoe Pass in 2024 and by a solo win on the Great Orme summit finish in 2026. It suits punchy all-rounders and fast finishers who stay alert and finish in the front group every day.
