The men use the same 39.2km, 220-meter course through Old Montréal, the riverfront, Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and Parc Jean-Drapeau. The route rewards an aerodynamic engine, then tests concentration through a string of transitions before the return over the Concorde Bridge. The small climbing total should not turn it into a climbers’ test, but it removes any margin for a rider who cannot hold speed after each change in rhythm.

Favorites: Remco Evenepoel defends the title and heads the preliminary roster. Filippo Ganna is the principal specialist challenger, while Isaac del Toro, Paul Seixas, Brandon McNulty and Mikkel Bjerg bring form and different pacing profiles. The absence of Joshua Tarling and Jay Vine narrows the group chasing Evenepoel.
