The Under-23 men face 174.2km and 3,497 meters of climbing. Montréal makes this a long elimination race: every circuit asks the field to climb again before it can recover, and the final Avenue du Parc rise makes a reduced sprint far more likely than a full bunch finish. The most dangerous riders will be able to attack after four hours without abandoning their finishing speed.
Riders to watch: Canada selected Adam Smith, Jérôme Gauthier, Jonas Walton and Luke Valenti for the road race. The United States team includes Ashlin Barry, Nathan Cusack, Kade Kreikemeier, Marcis Shelton and Gavin Sherry. The UCI has published official entries for this event.
