The elite men begin with a 112.4km approach from Brossard, cross the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge and then race twelve laps of Mount Royal. Over 273.7km and 3,803 meters of climbing, Voie Camillien-Houde, Chemin de la Polytechnique and the Avenue du Parc finish turn the final circuits into an attrition test. The Grand Prix Montréal rehearsal confirmed the course’s character: this is hard enough to isolate leaders before the last rise.
Favorites: Remco Evenepoel arrives with the strongest recent Montréal signal and the power for a long-range move. Tom Pidcock, Ben Healy, Isaac del Toro, Paul Seixas, Quinn Simmons and Matteo Jorgenson all have a credible route case. With Tadej Pogačar absent, the race opens up.
